Stone Shapes

Baguette: Rectangular shape with corners softened and many facets. Can be cut tapered or straight. 

Briolette: All around pear shape with equal facets. 

Cushion: Rectangular or square shape with corners softened and many facets. 

Marquise/Navette: A faceted stone shaped like a lentil viewed from the side. 

Pear: A teardrop shaped stone. 

Princess Cut: A square stone with facets that achieve the flash of a brilliant cut. 

Round/Brilliant: A round faceted stone. 

Square: A square stone with facets which follow the shape of the stone. 

Taper: A Baguette (see above) that is cut so that one end is narrower than another. 

Trilliant, Trillion: A triangular faceted stone
