Marquise/Navette: A faceted stone shaped like a lentil viewed from the side.

Princess Cut: A square stone with facets that achieve the flash of a brilliant cut.
Round/Brilliant: A round faceted stone.
Square: A square stone with facets which follow the shape of the stone.
Taper: A Baguette (see above) that is cut so that one end is narrower than another.
